The time has come to let my little runabout go as I have another car in the pipeline and can't afford to keep 2 cars running at the moment. Has served me well as my daily commute to work and back. I'm open to swaps though as my girlfriend is looking for her first car - unfortunately the slight mods on this means it's too expensive for her to insure so anything standard could be an option.

Good points: Good runner and hasn't let me down in the 6 months or so I've owned it. Engine pulls suprisingly well for a 1 litre and all 5 gears are strong and positive. Lowered 60/40 on PhilJ shocks and springs and on 5.5 inch GT steels. Two virtually new 165/65/13 tyres on the front. Bodywork is pretty tidy with only a few bumps and scrapes which I'll detail in 'Bad Points'. GT front seats (a little tatty but perfectly usable). Uprated dash speakers, speakers in rear (shelf not cut), CD player and wiring for amp and sub in boot. Good economical runabout and cheap to tax and insure. Costs me £300 a year fully comp with mods declared, I'm 24 with 3 years NCB.

Bad points: A few small spots of surface rust, no bigger than a 10p piece, one on rear under light and a tiny amount by rear drivers side window. Dent on drivers door - should pop out but paint is a little marked (pictured below). Looks like the car may have had a slight bump on the rear at some point. Rear bumper iron is bent slightly but is secure and the rear panel is unaffected, light cluster is cracked a little and lets water into the boot in heavy rain - a bit of wax has stopped this for now until a new cluster is sourced. Passenger seat and rear bench have slight tears, both about 3 inches long and along seams and easily fixed. Drivers seat has a fag burn on the bolster. Wiring for speakers is visible inside the car and hasn't been run under the carpet (suppose it's good if you want it removed!) Not my handywork!

Most of these are little niggles but I like to be as honest as possible.

Bumpty bump. Open to offers, swaps, PX - anything. Is surplus to requirements now

Bit of an update - driving to work before managed to run over a sandbag (christ knows where it came from, car infront didn't swerve or brake just plowed into it). Managed to swerve and brake a bit but still hit it doing about 45. Quick stop and check and all looked fine, no bumper damage or anything ripped off underneath.

Gone back out to the car on my lunch and can smell fuel - looks like the fuel tank has taken a whack. Isn't leaking out or dripping but is seeping a bit where the tank meets the filler neck.

So in light of this I'm open to offers, I won't be offended so try me.
