I tried on one of my previous cars. Plenty of soapy water, moved the tint film into place and then spent the next 10years smoothing all the air bubbles out.

Didnt do it well enough as driving down the road one day with the window open, heard a buzzing noise as the wind coming in the window slowly ripped the tint off :(

Gives a better finish than the tint spray you can buy. That stuff truly is shite!

Pro's charge over £200 for a reason!

I watched them do mine (before I ripped them out last month) and it isn't that easy!

Why get tinted windows at all? Somethin to hide? A boil on your nose?

Why get tinted windows at all? Somethin to hide? A boil on your nose?

Bit of a retarded comment.

Why are you after lowering springs what's the point?

People do it because they think it looks good. I did it because I thought it looked good, but now I have an interior worth showing.

People also do it for privacy, and for safety.

It's to hide the ugly birds in the back. :p

well you get your car lowered to increase drivability and performance , not to mention to hide arch gap and to make your car look and handle all around better. Tinted windows are for a corsa or saxo IMO. Dont like them at all. But as usual its my opinion, sorry to offend you if either you do have a boil on your face or you have a fat girlfriend that you wish to hide :-D

On a serious note.

I like the look of tint on bigger cars, my dad had an Audi A4 Avant, that had tint on the back and looked sweet, but i don't like small cars with it.

Indy's got it right, pros charge a lot for a reason!

I got a quote afew years back for £220 + VAT for getting mine done but the quality of work was top notch.

Such a typical comment.

Yep I was quoted £205 + VAT, but got it cheaper due to accidentally knowing the guy when he turned up lol.

It's not what you know.........

but who you know ;)

Tints belong to a saxo/corsa LooooooL

tints can look good depending on the styling of the car

if your tinting do the whole lot.

about £1500 quids worth of interior in my case in a car that's notoriously easy to break into and a mate does tinting for a living so cost me £120!

so yes i do have something to hide and it is worth it IMO!

Olly

you got front and rears done?

Edit....although your car is pretty much black and white....so probly can pull off the 'just rear tints'

i retract my pervious comment about they always look shit,

they nearly always look shit

Except front tints are illegal (over a certain darkness)....

Just rear tints look fine as long as you dont go for limo black, then its a very noticable jump from the front.

i imagine you could do it to a reasonable standard with the film if you removed the windows and have large sheets and alot of patients

i have tinted all my previous cars windows which i have owned, its foooking hard to do but u have to have a lot of patients and time coz u will get loads of bubbles , there is only one car that i did where there were bubbles tiny bubbles but other then that i can do them fine, but for wots it worth get it done pro because u will be there for eva trying to get the bubbles out and will look cack trust me i will get pix if u wanna see me cars i have done

here BUT DONT LAUGH LOL

first tints i done sorry for the poor pix
