I'm going to lower the polo (mk3 gt) and i can't decide whether to get shocks as well as springs? Think it'll be going down 60/40. It'd be nice to have it adjustable at the back (therefore shocks too) but for the difference in money is it really worth it?

Do the shortened shocks make much of a difference to ride quality and handling? I think the biggest selling point will be the fact that i won't have to take the original suspension apart which would no doubt be a complete ball-ache, or is it?

springs and shocks tbh , but -40mm wont hurt on standerd shocks

just the spring will lower it, springs and shocks will lower and stiffen it.

tbh -40 is a waste of time, its not even noticeable, me and my mate have a bread van thats lower 40 mill, we put my 15" cults on it and there was still a massive arch gap even on the back

gonna have to chop a couple of coils off i think
