So after months and months of looking for a good car i came across this after looking at a tired old polo.

Its a Black 1.4 cl 6n, i am soo happy with it, it has 68k on it with service history, so cant wait too get it out,

i have got so much planned for it but due too being a student ( ) i cant really afforde it at the moment, anyway here it is

Things i want too do to it: Badgeless Grille

Clear indicators and side repeaters

get some 16v alloys

Decent Head Unit and Uprated door speakers

Coilovers. Should be one of your first mods if you ask me. Set's it off massivly and it isn't as expensive as most poeple think. You can pick up a new kit off here or eBay for less than £180. Get someone decent to fit em.

I personally don't like the 16v alloys, but it's your car fella. Do what YOU wanna do. Get rid of the stickers, badges and stuff. Have a look through the forum to get some tips and tricks on what mods you can do with next to no cash. Looks good so far fella. How much did you pick it up for?

yeahh wanted coilies but i would get raped on insurance

picked it up for just under £1600

i want some winter wheels but really dont know what look good, preferably something cheap and vw

Man this thread brings back memories of when i got my polo

my first mod was the de-badged grill, then coilys, and i wouldnt change that if i went back in time and started again, and I've also just bought some valver alloys that I'm sprayin black and sticking on for the winter, so pretty much what u wanna do

one thing i will say though, tbh it is personal opinion, but i much prefer amber indicators on a black 6n than clear ones, givs the front end much more character, but its up to u m8

i'll be reading this thread till the end cos I'm iintrigued at what it turns out like

yeah i agree, orange indies look a lot better. i say get them wheel trims off and deck it on steelies for the time being

Golf mk3.5 alloy wheels, count as manufacture options even though their technically BBS's and they look good too!

little incident with a pheasant yesterday means that the mods wil be sooner that i thought as i am ordering a de badged grill on friday :-D

i wil have too look at the golf alloys i like the sound of them.

so i finally got round too debadging the polo, it took me just under two hours (hour spent trying too undo thr polish lid )

its not a big update and i know its a fairly easy job but i think i did quite a good job considering i am a complete novice :-)

, heres my excuse for it, i spilt tar remover on the first one and thr last one i took thr day after, i dont go through 3 tops regularly LOL

well finally an update!

i was driving down an A road yesaterday when i hit a pheasant LOL, the result of this was my grille was completely donald ducked, so that night went and ordered a debadged one

And heres how it looks on the car, think it cleans it up and looks much better!

Hey man been tracking your progress so far! Doing well.. I know how you feel because I am in the same position being a student!! One thing I would recommend buying is some xenon bulbs for your headlights and sidelights! You can get all the bulbs for under £10, they fit flush into the old fittings, and not only do they look better but they perform better! I gotta get a new grille man!! Yours looks sick, keep it up

after sourcing the wheels i had been looking for since i got the car i bought these home

all four wheels and tires for £70 i am well pleased with them, just cant wait too get them on,
