I'm removing my old 16v engine later this week to replace it with another (works out cheaper then rebuilding the head as I'd do all 16v's not just the bent ones, 'cuz I'm like that). The cambelt has slipped I think, the main giveaway is the exhaust cam being about 100deg advanced of where it should be, the other thing after that is the sound of the valves bangin the pistons, lol.

I've just ordered another lump from a breaker so I'll be needing the ancillaries off this one, but whatever's left will be for sale. I'll update in a few days, probably Friday/ Sat as the new engine isn't here til Thu!

Prices: No idea, contact me with what you want and offers, I'll let you know what sort of price I have in mind if your offer is way off the mark, I'm not looking to eeek every penny out of it that I can, I'd much prefer a smooth quick sale of the whole remains but I know that rarely happens!

How much for the throttle body and the cam cover if available?

A little update, I pulled the head off earlier, there's no damage, possibly 1 valve very mildly touched a piston but I think that was just my eyes (it was almost dark, no torch).

The TB won't be available, I'll get back to you if this other engine turns up with it attached though!

As for cam cover, I assume you mean the metal rocker cover that the oil filler cap fits to?

Yes the metal part that covers the cams as the engine has no rockers to cover :)

Its the throttle body I'm really needing though, just wanted the cam cover as a bit of a play to polish and stuff.

Ah, I'm a bit old school, I still call an auxillary drive belt a fan belt and so on.... lol

Dunno what it's worth, £25? I do have a spare TB, but I don't know what it's off, it came with the car but is slightly different to the one that was fitted on there. I don't know why it was there either, I'll pull it out tomorrow and take some pics, get part no's, etc. It's too dark and I'm gonna go skin up and chill now, lol.

Forgot to say, I will swap parts for other stuff, I have a KTM Duke 2 640 and also want some shiny bits for the 6n (indicators, repeaters, LHD tail light to make mine symmetrical, E/W lifters that work) as it's completely standard! I'll pretty much swap for anything interesting/ useful though, try me!

Got my new engine today, turns out it's a complete one, so I have pretty much a complete 16v motor for sale and ancillaries. If you still want that TB then make me a reasonable offer!

BTW, the old engine has a broken bit on piston 4 (amazing what you can see in daylight, lol) so that would probably explain the rattling cutlery encore when the engine's running in the vid.
