Hello guy's

This weekend i want to get down need dirty in the garage with my wheels.ha

I have revolution alloys with a mirror finsh, but i know u may think is a bit bad but i want them to be a light brown.ha I saw the brown in a VW Mag need i think they would look great.ha "Will post pictures when am done" But i dont really know where to start.ha " Please Help" do i use primer or not?? do i use something else???

IAM REALLY COMFUSED!haha

As anyone got a good step by step guide??

recently done my wheels .... all i did was rub em down to you feel like they are smooth :)

use diff grades of sandpaper to get a smooth finish .... then few coats of primer, few coats of paint and a few coats of lacquer ... till your happy with em :)

have you got a photo of the wheel to give a better idea of what you want to do?

when you say they are mirror polished, do you mean they are all polished or just the dish? (if they even have a dish?), do you want to paint all of the wheel or just the centers?

either way you don't need to go through different grades of wet and dry, all you have to do is key the paint/alloy (depending on if your wheels even have paint on them already or not), just use 1000 grit wet and dry and rub it over the bit you want to paint until you have taken the shine off it (use some water on the wet and dry while you do this). if your wheels have already got paint on them then you won't need to use primer but if its bare metal then you will (take your time with the, its better to do a few fin coats rather than one big one and leave about 5 mins in between each coat, only hold the nozzle down while your hand is moving), give it a good 20 mins to dry then do the same with your choice of colour spray, again giving 5 mins in between each coat and a final 20 mins to dry before applying the lacquer in the same way, be extra careful with this step though as its VERY easy to get runs in it if you are a little too heavy handed, the lighter the coats on this the better tbh.
