Do moving police cars have speed cameras?

Featured Replies

Sooo i was driving home listening to my tunes and then i look at a car pulling out and in the corner of my eye i saw a fair size flash. then i saw a car with the illuminous stripes turning into a road about 30 metres infront of. May have been an ambulance but if it was a police car would they have flashed me and i was doing arround 40 in a 30 i dont want points!!!!!

Dont do 40 in a 30 then.....

i love that more carefull when i rip up the magic wand :D

erm, its called discretion mate, and i'm pretty sure they did, even if they give you points, thats using there own opinion on the matter...hence discretion.

Ok thanks but can an oncoming car catch you???

Don't know why I wrote that sometimes.

No.

VASCAR requires them to follow you, all other devices are used by an officer standing roadside.

yeti, u can be convicted of speeding past the police, your charge will read

Dangerous driving -

driving eratically and exceeding the speed in a 30mph zone (speed uncalculated)

think you can get a maximum of 3 points for this, even if u did do 200mph. as the couldnt prove what speed you did only visualy see it was to fast :

hense dangerous driving.

Fuckin hell, I hate how this thread has turned into a bragathon for anyone who has ever been done by the cops for doing something wrong.

To the OP, your question was answered in the first few posts really.. if you didn't get pulled over at the time of the incident then you will be fine. But just because you didn't get caught, it doesn't mean you can do it again.

To everyone else saying 'oh yeah you'll be fine mate I did 80 in a 20 zone past a school at 3 o clock and the cops only gave me a warning' - why the fuck do you need to tell people this? It's only going to encourage reckless driving and make people think they can get away with it in the future. Causing them to either get done by the fuzz or at worst causing them to kill someone.

If you have been done and you truly see the error of your ways then maybe you would be ashamed of what you did and would not feel the need to brag about it over the internet. What if you were doing 60 in a 30 zone and you killed a small child and consequently got done by the cops? Would you post that up here looking for some kudos? I doubt that very much..

got my ADSO ( anti-soical-driving-order ) by doing doing 100 yard handbrakes slides with full power, on gravel, coppers actualy siad thats impressive for a 17 year old

Wow check you out. So you can pull the handbrake up while moving forwards - you must be an awesome driver. Cops said it was impressive.. does that make you Sebastien Loeb? No mate, and posting up shit like that up on here trying to impress others isn't going to make you cool either. It's only going to encourage others to do it, and that's when very real accidents will happen.

Jesus Christ Monkey Balls.. :x

Thread cleaned up. Do what you want in Maccies carpark, but we don't really want to know.
