Massive shame about your mishap dude and hopefully won't be much work to sort the ol' girl out as shes a beaut! Love it! Ashame about the Fastback having to go too! If the Polo comes out even half as hawt as the beetle it's gonna rock! 8-)

Fastback went today :-( Gave it to the guyus over at T3D/T2D so hopefully it will be of some use to them :-)

It does mean that with my new found garage space i can start work on the polo (just need to pick so bits up this weekend) Paint and suspension are first on the list of jobs 8-)

Then the Beetle can be moved into the garage to have the front end stripped down/cut off and the repair work can begin :-D 8-)

think iv got a picture of your mates beetle, this the same one?

IMG_5479.jpg

and your beetle is pure sick, i would kill for my car to be that low

  • Author

Yeah dude, thats my mates Bug, it generaly looks slightly different at each show so it gets hard to keep track of it

Running this low is pretty awesome fun and you get alot of attention when your leaving sparks 8-) just things are more likely to break :x

such a rusty bug.... i hate rust -_-.nevertheless the bonnet is n1.

Yeah it looks like hitting that railroad crossing has damaged your car a fair bit. Your a fool if you want to go lower IMHO. Looks like you have majorly damaged an already rusty car.

Does look awesome though, but not worth wrecking an old beetle for.

I hate rust too... proper rust seizes nuts and make holes in things, thats only very light surface rust so by the time i get round to painting the whole car i still won't have anything to worry about :-D

Cheers tho dude, the bonnet needs to be redone faded a bit now and flaking in places

Its done a fair amount of damage to panels that needed replacing anyway so I'm not to bothered, would have been nice if it hadn't happened but i knew it'd be off the road for a while soon

I prefer Mad to fool 8-)

Progress has finaly been made with the polo, after a friend drove past it without seeing it when they were trying to find a house i was at, they point out it just looked like a normal car... which was true :-(

So today i finaly got round to fitting some springs i bought a while ago off here :-D

Track rod end was foobared so cut it off... then had to fight with the rust n dirt that had built up to get the new one on... Heat n WD40 is generally the answer 8-)

Not bad for 500 notes :-D

needs a few little bits doing but the service history is amazing... every MOT from new and i imagine every recipt for all the work done judging by the huge folder of paperwork that came with it! 8-)

Gota get the front end of the Polo a bit lower now the back has come down... either top caps or a coil off the spring :-)

Update time... once I've got the bug done I've got some more plans for the polo :-D

got the car sitting level on the stupidly uneven drive, a few hours with a spirit level, 3 jacks, 8 axels stands and it done :tu stopping for :chill break didn't help getting it done tho... :lol

31533_416354484896_510764896_4053426_449

and the bits collected so far... see if you can geuss what the plan is :D

31533_416354489896_510764896_4053427_643

cutting good metal out just doesn't feel right :lol

31533_416580704896_510764896_4058874_583

also this turned up the other day

29133_421164039896_510764896_4178223_821

more cutting due to a previous owner welding repair patches over the top of rust

32023_422192719896_510764896_4206762_248

cleaned up and zinc primed (done a bit moere tidying since this photo)

32023_422192709896_510764896_4206761_280
