polo mk2 1L engine

Motor is working fine on idle when the head lights are OFF.BUT, when i turn on the head lights, the motor is loosing power.I am thinking about faulty generator. any ideas?

Also I installed LPG device and i can not drive with it when i turn the lights on.the device is OK, but i want to blame the bloody generator again! :x

Sounds like an alternator fault....

Yeah,sounds like the brushes in the alternator are excessively worn. Takes two minutes to fit a new brush cartridge (if they're still available).

alternator fixed, making 14, 5! :-D

but, LPG device still not working. Does anybody knows if the coil on the top of LPG device needs more power than it gets from alternator. Maybe to put some relay? I need quick answer, cause i don't want to spend 8eur/100km for petrol any more!!!!
