16v stutter?

Featured Replies

I just got my 16v back on Friday morning after having the gearbox, clutch & clutch cable replaced. Its also had a quick oil change and new set of plugs. Friday I drove it to work without a problem. But yesterday it didnt seem to pull right and was misfiring badly. Got to work and popped the bonnet and found the hose that goes from the dizzy to the inlet manifold had snapped in 2. So replaced it with a new section of hose. Now it runs fine in 1st & 2nd, but under acceleration in 3rd it misfires still.

Any ideas??

HT leads?

my valver seems to go through its dizzy caps and rotor arms quite quickly as it hates even the slightest bit of carbon build up. Might be worth changing...cheap enough to do so.

Changed the dizzy cap and rotor this afternoon. Still no joy. Looks like the HT leads! I'll be changing them next.
