Would a 4 branch from a 6N 8V fit a 6N2 8V? Or is there a conflict due to the 6N2 being an MPI engine?

MPI has nothing to do with the exhuast manifold. In answer to your question i don't think so, basically there is certian bore sizes, bolt patterns and outlet patterns to match up and i beleive there different. I'm sure someone will clear this up.

that's odd.. the listing for a 6N 1.4 8V manifold said it was not for MPI engines?

all the 1.4 8V engines that go in a 6N are MPI the only SPI units for 6Ns are 1.3s and early 1.0s..
