hi all, I'm niz from Doncaster, heres some pics and info about my motors if anyone cares to read

First off is my gti. started off as a bog stock atlas grey 90spec gti that i gave £480 for with fvwsh and 110k from new, bought to take over daily duties from my satin black jap turbo powered mk2 escort

Me being me i couldnt leave it alone and since has gone through 3 sets of rims, set of springs (now on fk coilovers) and a set of seats.

First pics are of it in the first stages and last ones are as it is now.

(btw i know I've got a bit of reverse rake going on, need to crack out the c spanner and get to work when i get chance )

Off the road at the min to tidy it up, add wide arches and some 10x15 compomotive splits to lay some of that power down. engine conversion was a dry build so to speak, conversion done very rough to make sure it would work well so now is the task of finishing it off nice and neatly!

It currently runs a stage one ca18det 1.8 turbo out of a popup headlight 200sx. (roughly 210bhp) plans are a rollerbearing t28 turbo along with stage 3 mods to see power up towards 280-300bhp. Should be fun when its done, power as it is, is enough to light the wheels up in 5th gear at 80mph in the damp. and instant tyres lit up in 2nd gear coming on boost everytime. its a bit of an animal!

Engine was simple to fit really. ripped the old 2.0 pinto out and put this in place, fabbed up some mounts and it was in. Hardest part was the wiring but even that wasnt too difficult. The missus wasnt best pleased about having a nissan wiring loom spread out over her bedroom floor for 2 nights lol!

The conversion took 7 days in total and the only part i didnt do myself was the propshaft which i took to be custom made.

THAT ESCORT IS AMAZING!!!!!

Griffo20022 - funny you should say that, 1 week after completing the engine conversion the sump was off to replace the shagged shells haha. Knocked them out in style though, kicking a 320bhp 1.8t mk4 golfs ass!I do miss the momos but not the horrible shake their egged shape gave me :p thinking along the lines of 16" mini steels while ronals get refurbed.

The escort is the one to keep an eye on though, poop got bought for that mofo last night so get ready for some updates...

i like the rear lay flat wiper. i no how to do but never got round to doing it on my car.. but was thinking to day dos it stop in the middle of the screen or go right across lol

Lay flat rear wiper is just unbolted and moved across to that point as my motor is siezed. Dont do it to a working one as you will end up wiping your boot! haha. been meaning to get some grommets and get it taken out for now untill it gets slung in the bodyshop and smoothed. :)

97bhp was with rediculously lean fuelling in the midrange which was found to be a fecked airflow meter. Since repaired it now pulls twice as hard but not had chance to get it back on the rollers as yet.

As for escort I ordered a 4 link kit for the rear axle and some coilovers the other night, should be here at the weekend for some fitment and stanceing! also pretty much done a deal on a t28R rollerbearing turbo for the monster too. Also need to decide what colour to paint it now. pretty sold on white tbh but can always change my mind! No pro jobs though as the car gets driven hard and slid into things drifting so I have no need or patience for pro spray jobs so either satin black or gloss white. something that can be matched up and touched in easily enough and will hide battle scar repairs well.

u can run a working lay flat blade u have to rewind the motor and clip the rod backin from the in side of the gate.. theres a how to on mk2 owners club.

$cotty - yea i know that mate i meant dont just undo the nut and turn the wiper arm on a working motor or the sweep will wipe the boot :) My motor was siezed to fook so wasnt bothered about doing it properly :)

thought id post up a few shots of how its looking at the minute. had a bit of a makeover at xmas with 16v brakes, polybushed arms, better driveshafts and a g60 antirollbar. now actually stops and wants to go round corners properly now! besides that I've spaced the wheels 10mm all round and painted the wheels white. let me know what y'all think :)
