ok so i am probably taking a policy out with brentacre and just wondered would i have to declare pressed plates as a mod? i understand that anything that it didnt have when it left the factory is a mod and must be declared, but if i got a standard plate made at halfords it would technically be a mod! (splitting hairs probably i know but still technically a mod) it wont cost me anymore to declare but i just wondered in the interest of not wasting thier time lol also my dads thinking of getting some for his a4 as there is some little idiot going round breaking the corners off for a prank (and then they peel and split lol last month someone found a valve remover and had some fun with that lol probably same lad/s)

to me they are just a more durable alternative not nessacerily a mod

Well , i think there is a difference in maintaing your car , to modding your car. just think to yourself which one you thinkin mods that you do are. I would probably say that a new number plate thats different to the original one that the car came with is maintaing your car. As long as the digits and letter are the same font.

You can get road legal pressed plates!

Pressed legal plates will be UK font, correct spacing and laser marked with legal details to BSAU145d standards!

pressed plates arnt standerd from the factory, and will give a hole for them to get out of paying for you crash.
