175/50R15's

i had them

for 6j though, your better off with 165 50's.

Its probably going to rub at 80mm.

so are the sebrings 15x6?

its only ever me and a passenger so i dont reckon i would have much scrubbing?

rolly had sebrings on his didnt he?

yeah they are 15x6

does everyone run 165 50 15 on their 6J rims? I've got chance of some 15x6 compomotives and struggling with tyre sizes without having to have rubber bands!

pretty much, its the only way to maintain arch clearance. guess you could try a 165/55 or 65 instead

i have found some 165/50 s for 50 pound a corner they would seem to be my best bet really?

A 165 on a 6imch wide rim is hardly any streach at all, I have fedral 165 on my 6.5inch wheels and they don't even looked streached and I wouldn't say they are rubber bands either... It's just a nice amount of side wall plus they keep your speedo to around the same as I standard tyre so you don't need to worry about it Reading over or under! :)

195/50 and they only rubbed a little bit? i crucified a set of 50 profiles on my coupe and that was with no weight in the back at all!

am needing a hand on tyre size aswell

am buying a set of these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VW-ALLOY-WHEELS---C1...1105173002r3215

the car is lowered by 80mm but i dunno what tyres i should get, just worried about rubbing, not really wanting a stretch either

185/55/15?

thats the lowest profile i can find??

Bargain!

Think there a little bit cheaper than that on my tyres search it in google

175/50 Kumhos ftw

13s ftw, quicker accelerationnnn

if i run my mk3 saloon on 165/50/15 tyres on my 7j rims et52 with 20mm adaptors lowered 60mm will i get away with arch rubbin also would i be able to take it any lower than 60mm on the front

noisy on the motorway!

you only get quicker acceleration with something like a 175/50 13. 9.9 rolling radius, compared to 11.1 on a stock mk3 (145 80 13 being standard)

with a 165/50/15 you get 10.7rr which is very close to standard, something like .5 in the rolling radius smaller.
