Not sure this is the right section for this but it's close enough.

I've broken my door lock! Tried to lock it tonight and there was snapping noise and something dropped down inside the door. Now the key only locks the car in the drivers door but doesn't lock it. You can feel it turning the mechanism when locking but you can feel no resistance when trying to unlock.

Anyone else had this? I'm going to pull the door card off at the weekend and see if I can see what's broken but I'm hoping sopmeone else has had this happen and knows what I need to I can get any bits and get fixed PDQ. It's not a disater but I'm going to keep forgetting I can't unlock without going round to the passenger side and it's going to annoy the hell out of me quick quickly!!!!

i had the same. you'll probably find that the bit that holds the paddel to the barrel has split. what you heard drop would be the paddels. i bought a new set from the scrappy. easy to change.
