Court case outcome from Nik Hewitt (scammer)

Featured Replies

for the last few weeks i have said i will put a buyers guide up, i remember all the Nik Hewitt thing, and the time and effort i put into busting him, well worth it.

Well to some extent, until the law gets hold of him and cocks it up.

Matts points are all pritty much what i do when buying stuff!

yeah, just common sense realy

i only get cash out at certain banks

only use my credit cards at certain shops and petrol stations

and only buy on ebay off people with good feedback and good description of item

over cautious maybe but I've never been scammed

cant knock anyone on here thats been shafted, easy done as you feel and expect a level of trust on here, and it should be that way?!

but if I'm not sure i deal in cash only......

anyways i bet the tosspot thief gets his payback for his deciet, one way or another

I've never used paypal ect to random people on foums, unless its a admin or has lots of posts, i.e well known.

90% of my buying/selling has been CoC...lol

If you buy something online, ask the person if you can collect the item before coming to the posting arangement.

If he fails to give you an adress hes bound to be hinding something.

If you get the sellers adress, google it a make sure it accurate/ real.

Pictures speak a thousand words, always ask for pictures.

Ask if he can put a Date next to item, this pretty much stops any scamming c*nts googling pictures

Dam good info, you've got my vote on getting this stickied somehow.

Going through that list I don't think I do half of that stuff. First time I bought something off here I was bricking it and was really suspicious of the seller, even though it was only £5 lol. I suppose I have been pretty lucky so far, had more problems on eBay.. but with foreign sellers

How hard would it be to set up a 'Trading Feedback' system on here for users, like on VolksZone and such?

IF it will be ok with admins/Mods i can create a new tread on "gereral chat", sharing my info and asking for other peoples hints on buying/selling and avoiding scammers.

All this then will be made into a nice formal list ect and posted on each Classified section, obviously avoiding sponsered sections :)

Saves the mods/admins time and i dont mind doing it, all they have to do is sticky it when i post in in classifieds.

And yes it will be spell checked lol XD

This bloke sounds like a right proper bastard. Is he an addict or what?

I would be all for someone kicking his swede in a bit, but how do you know its him that answers the door?

he's a skinny runt with black hair

*donned in suit with "prize draw" name tag and tacky coloured gameshow competition style paperwork/clipboard* Good morning/afternoon sir, is this the property in which a Mr Hewitt resides? *looking down at paperwork* a Mr Nick Hewitt?

Youve even got something to beat his head in with then also :-D

Just knock on the door and when he answers go 'alright Nick!'

Almost guarantee if its him he wont be quick enough to think and will just go 'alright' straight back :p

And if it isnt him say your his mate from school visiting the area, if your confident enough people will beleive anything!

where in derby does he live? anyone know?

i do i was there yesterday

PM it me please just curious, from Derby.

i only get cash out at certain banks

No matter how careful you are you can't prevent being scammed. My wife's card was cloned (along with half of Hungerford last year), not because she shopped at a dodgy shop, but because someone at Somerfield head office sold on all the transaction data from the Hungerford store.

Bloody criminals are everywhere.

But good advice about the feedback on ebay, etc. I'm going to try and sell my wheels on edition38, but I've never posted on there before so everyone will probably assume I'm a scammer. :-(

i remember last time he scammed people on here he was living in ripley?

Edited by pettsy

he still is

this guy sounds like a right idiot, i hope someone fucks him over all the shit he has done to others is just way out of line. If i had been scamed by him and had his address he would have no possition left i would go round there with some mean people and just take everthing of value and then fuck him up so he learns a lesson, the law will never teach c**ts like this.

how interesting, my missus went to school with him, anyone want any info on him let me know, facebook page and stuff :) tosser needs sorting out

awesome , facebook page?

he come out of prison not long ago, lives in Derby so must be same guy and he is ' a skinny runt with black hair' can someone confirm its the same guy before any abuse is given to him

facebook page

oh and to the PM Jason yeah that's cool

if that is him, then i think a nice facebook hate group is needed, and let his whole friends list know just the kind of person he is!

thats him!!!

I've added him, cant wait to write some abusive shit on his profile. :)

Post the pic up on here? 8-)
