Guys seen different things online so not 100% on this

i was doing 40 in a 30 and slowing down to 30 was at 35 and slowing when i looked at the speedo looked up and saw a police speed van taped the breaks to slow down to under 30 and passed the van

(btw it was safe to break no one behind me)

now my guess is i was prob doing about 32-33 as the van looked at me but not sure about the speed

just wondering what the chances i will find a ticket on my door mat.

i have seen things like the speedo says your faster then you really are and you get to be 10% over and all this but dont know what to believe

so worse thing is the van would have me doing about 35 and best is about 30

any insight would help me out

p.s i will go back later and see where the lines on the road are so i can see where the van would have got me see if i can work my speed out that way.

Vans and cameras which are manually operated can get you from miles away mate.

Well not miles but further than you'd expect.

They usually have a job brief that says they won't even take anyones picture who is going say 35 or less but you say you were initailly doing 40 in the 30, taking speedo error into account thats maybe 38, still well over the limit.

You'll just have to wait two weeks and see.

And don't speed in a 30 again...its something that really gets on my tits.

yer dont normally speed and was slowing down i was round a bend from the van at the time of doing 40 so would have been 35 by the time i was inline with his gun

Depends if it had a camera sticking out the back.

I got caught the other month by a camera van, i was doing 37 in a 30

All depends what kind of van it was. If it was a proper camera van, they can get you from 1000m off so i was told by a copper.

I was heading to springfest in '07. came to a 30 limit but was still doing 40ish but was concentrating on the road intensely as it was bright low lying sun so began to break slowly and as i passed by a tree, noticed a van sat on the side of the road with a copper sat in it waving his finger at me.

needless to say i was lucky and didnt get a ticket.

You'll just have to wait and see if you got caught or not.

the best thing to do is get a road angel! they tell the exact speed your doing and will run on the same speed as the cameras will satelite controled and all that so that is the speed you are doing also it is true that the speedo is out
