My beloved Little red 1.0l breadvan sadly passed away at the MOT station due to everything! have found a new possible runner however with gearbox issues, the gentleman states the car still runs however gearbox is crunching.

My question is would my 4 speed box from my 1.0l bolt and run onthe 1.3 without any hassle? i am aware of gear ratios, just wonderin if this has been done? until i can afford my g40!

GEarboxes on breadvans? to change them is alot of hassle or fairly straight forward?

So we are saying a solid days work and a couple of pairs of hands? i have helped fit ford gearboxes in the past to those cvh engines, hasnt been to tasking so I'm hoping its as straight forward.

You shoulod be able to do it yourself by jacking the gear box up through the engine bay, or lifting it up through with an engine crane

yeah a day should be plenty with a helper ...any luck a few hours will have it swapped

Engine support bar (from a tool factor or timber merchants) makes putting the box on far easier.
