yea was a nice car that one!! keep missing the parts when they say what they have done to them!!

i've seen this show advertised a couple of times never watched it though. what's the idea behind it? as far as i could tell it was youth's with modded cars go on the show and get put up against some one else and the winner takes both cars?

is it any good?

Na, it is pretty rubbish.

I watched the double bill the other night, then wondered why i just wasted an hour of my life.

But yea, basically two people come in with standard cars, the 'crew' chavs them up with big bodykits and the like, gives them an extra 1000bhp by taking the back seats out and then they race.

And then yes, the winner takes the car home.

I thought the polo looked terrible, maybes it was just the tribal that were spoiling it.

Seen this also. haven't seen the polo one but have seen the one with mk2 golf gti 16v on it. I liked the matt green but not the back or the stupid this on the doors.

Was it just me or did anyone else not that when they showed you round the mk2 on the wheels which are ats cups it had a centre cap off wolfrace alloys :S Blunder it even had ats stamped on them...

Kuszpit :)

They are probably sponsored by Wolf race. So just stuck the centre caps on so people think they are Wolfrace.

Sorry for the three post on one topic, i should have read all the replies before i commented

Yeah, max power just got humiliated by JDM kids.

Hahaha oh god, this is painful to watch. Loved how bad the resprays are on the cars, the inside is still the original colour

lol its just pure jokes, the cars, the comentry, the ghetto wanabe presenter with his hummer on spinners

It makes me wonder who thinks this kinda thing is cool.

You REALLY weren't paying attention in class were you?

They are vinyl wraps.

The trouble it faces is it's light entertainment, it's about the people not the cars. So the mods aren't in depth and the technical talk isn't aimed at people who know cars inside and out. It's on Viva remember, not Discovery Turbo. It's had a lot of stick for not being technical enough, but most people who watch it are probably at the limit of their car knowledge with the level of mods done to the cars on the show.

Same goes for styling stuff - everything done to the cars has to look bright on the track. It's the confines you operate in when you're putting a TV programme together for the masses.

There's mileage in the concept. IMHO it'd work better if the show had less trash talking and a bigger section in the middle where you get to see the cars getting tuned, with easily understood explanations of what everything does. Instead, they spend ages slagging each other off, you get a glimpse of the cars, then they're out on track. But that's coming from me, and I'm into cars.

Car wise, if you have a programme like this where you're betting your car that you can beat the other person chances are you'll end up with crappy stuff heading out on track. With a limited budget for each build, and I believe they're built for £3k each, you're not going to get beyond basic mods.

There's nothing fake about Huey, the presenter, either. He's the lead singer of the Fun Lovin Criminals, and one of the coolest guys on the planet. He's not some wannabe gangster, he's a laid back singer from New York and he's just like that in real life.

And ATS are imported into the UK by Wolfrace. They're not alone in their re-branding too. A lot of wheel companies don't actually manufacture their own rims, they'll import them into the UK and put their own centre caps on. If there's been a tie-in between Slips and Wolfrace, and they've got a chance to get their branding on TV why wouldn't they take it?

alex....are you a producer?
