today at oulton park

Featured Replies

me & a mate did a track day in my polo today at oulton park. It went pretty well, had some good runs. At the end of the morning my dump valve went pop and constantly leaked boost, fixed it by removing it and bunging the hole up and carried on without a dump valve, which was ok but kept popping boost hoses off thanks to some boost spikes on lift off. Still had a good day though, weather wasnt too bad, damp to start with, then dried out and then just after 3pm it starting chucking down so called it a day. Car made it home in one piece which was more than some people who were trying too hard for the conditions could say!

Track days rock! Your car looks awsome dude, nice one!

looks spot on paul really does

The reason it was built. Good times

I miss Oulton Park. :)

Which company did you do it with?

Was it on the full circuit?

cheers guys.

yes it was the full (international) circuit. It was through a company called trackaction.co.uk I found out about it from a friend of a friend. It was quite cheap at £125, although about right for the time of year.

Am I called Paul?

£125, not bad, what was the format? Sessioned/Open Pitlane and for what period of the day?

haha I've no idea what your name is, dunno why I'd typed that.

it was all day open pit, always prefer that to sessioned.

Where did you get your cage? Or is it a homebrew? Looks awesome though, as does the rest of the car!

it's a safety devices cage, I bought it a few years ago just before they went bust (and then reopened). Soon after I think they put the price of the polo cage up by quite a lot.
