I'm 17 and passed my test. I've a polo 1.4 8v and looking for advise on cheap car insurance as I'm leaving my car standerd for a while then moding it. i dont want to have to change insurance company. thanks

Just read through this section mate and do a search, you will find loads of info.

Personally I would reccomend Admiral if you are keeping it standard - put your parents on the policy as named drivers and it brings your premium well down.

I don't know how they fare with mods though, companies like Adrian Flux, Brentacre, HIC etc are much better for mods but I don't really know much about them.

thanks i got insured with adrian flux for 1700 rather than the other qoutes i was getting at 3000

Thats not bad man! I am insured on my white 6n 1.4 for £1540! With Quinns Direct, some Irish company... phoned them up the other day asking if my insurance premium would go up if i did a few visual mods, alloys, window tints etc. but the lady said that I can do any cosmetic modifications without it effecting my premium! amazing! really recommend them!

by the way I am 17 too, and past my test mid October!
