Sorry for being a complete beginner lol, but I want to remove the badges off the back of the polo, do I just need to use hot water and the adhesive should eventually give in after some gentle pulling? :p

Get some hot water and pour over the badge. Then use a card to slide behind and pop off. Then get some petrol on a cloth and rub the adhesive and remove the adhesive. continue this process over and over till its gone. then polish it a few times and hey presto

try and get a screwdriver wrap some old rag behind them , pull them off and the its elbow grease and petrol from there

t cut is a good idea actually but if u use petrol or some spirits just to get the glue off

i used some fishing line behind it in a up n down motion and then get some tar and bug remover on it works a good'n :-)

WOW! haha there are so many ways to get the badges off, I think I will use the hot water / hairdryer and a card to slip behind them to get them off and then use t-cut to get rid of the adhesive! :) thanks for the response!

Dont use tar remover near aerosol painted parts on your car they will just melt.

dont use steamy boiling water though, fades your paint

piece of strong thread used in a sawing motion followed by t-cut FTW!

just get your fingers in behind them and pull them off, not too hard but with enough force to get them to separate from the glue, once off, wet the glue with cold water, i found that nearly all the glue peeled off in single strips and saved me a lot of effort, just t cut, polish and wax it after. I've debadged all of my cars doing the hairdryer and tar remover method and it took a lot of elbow grease, the cold water way worked best for me.

I think I will try different methods on the different badges.

yer, I used a hairdryer aimed to the side and then did the other side until you could sort of pick it off and then slid an old plastic card behind it and it came off, then just used t-cut and washed and waxed it :) worked perfectly

aye will do this at the weeked, and will put some before and after picks up as well, will do the same for the bump strips!

Sounds good! I am still wondering whether or not to de-bump but for the mean time I am going to leave them on

WD40 is also good for removing remains of the glue...

What colour car do you have? Just use t-cut and try and blend it in with the rest of the paintwork.. :)

t-cut polish where the badge was, and about 6 inches around it so that the colour difference fades into the rest of the car.

warm water, garrott it with dental floss, t-cut, polish.

works every time
