Wonder if turbo will fit without any cutting??

Well it has been so long since this was updated..... been working on my mk2 Coupe instead.....

So was gonna see if the turbo would fit, as a rotrex didn't work and a G40 won't fit without cutting the front pannel off.... so on goes a turbo manifold and.....

Nope, well not without butchering it..... purchased a new slam pannel just in case, but i really don't want to go down that route with the car

So as she looks now...

I have made a start on removing the engine now....

Charge cooler coming off

Just got to remove the pump and little rad with the small fan on....

Next to remove will be the old rotrex kit, oil lines, pump and wiring

IMG_1806.jpg

Then the aquamist will be going....

IMG_1812.jpg

Then just need to remove the wiring and engine, ready for a bay spruce up and the GT engine out of my Coupe to go in.

The new engine will be:

GT 3F 1300

Pipercross cone filter

Dewedged and maybe ported throttle body

newman 268 cam

4 branch manifold, decat with a stainless exhaust system

Poloace 8k chip

should be good for 90bhp and the engine feels alright for what it is. Not fast, but then it never will be. Always room for a bit more tuning if i feel the need.

Just need to sort out some new wheels for here too, as the 13's it came with, look a bit small with the 175/50's on, might lower it a bit more instead....

Long term plans include a respray as although the car is clean tidy and straight, there are a few marks on it here and there, and if i want to keep it long term these will need to be fix to make sure she lasts well

Well a long time since this has been updated.

Been busy in German searching for a few new parts for this and my mk2 (which has taken up my time)

Well not much has changed to the car :-( engine is ready to come out and will be lifted in next week or two :-) then i will clean up the bay ready for the GT engine.

So new rims for it :-)

Classics always look good on older polo's will need to drop the car a little more once i fit them though....

shame its loosing the G engine

Trouble is it won't fit without the charger sticking out the front :-( which is not me, or right for the car

the rotrex did not work effectively :-( so that's a no go again, plus they are fucking expensive!!!

Gonna go with the GT for a while, about 90 bhp should be enough for a little daily.... If it gets boring I will stick a 16ver in there

if you want to sell the fanimold i might have it off you.

i remember this from the 1sr rr day i ever went to, i think it was kam's car. made 118bhp iirc.

if it doesnt fit can you not modify the manifold to move it a bit?

how much for the lump and everything to go with it IF your selling it which i doubt you are :)
