Mate I think this is a 12v power feed from the main interior loom :)

How're you getting on? Can't find that bloody wiring diagram, will look again tonight ;)

Interior lights for dash or the actual interior light?

I'm getting on fine Daz, so far its been easier then i thought it would be but, the only problem is this interior light. i reckon its just a case of finding the right wire lol. and I'm running out of light now so i need to try and sort something asap

well its all the interior lights like clocks, mirror control and the heater dials.

Are you doing a 6n -> 6n2 dash conversion? IF so, I would love to know how you got on with the door cards and wiring them. How did you get the wires across?

I've finished lol, well 2 hours ago, i was pleasently surprised at the fact that the clocks work perfectly aside from the fact there arent any rev readings.

thanks guys. Daz ill send you a pm. well fitting the door cards was easy but everybody says you have to get the bar which runs from the door pull to let you out from inside the car but when i did it i just bent the metal bar down so that its shorter. and you need to have the speaker cases from behind a 6n2 door and your gunna need the little triangle tweeters that sit on the inside next to the wing mirrors. that's it but your gunna need the wing mirror control from a 6n2 as well mate.

:o i have the 6n2 dash in my 6n! however i have no heaters and clocks arnt wired up! is this easy to do?

well i used my old heater box and controls fit into new centre console. you can get the clocks to work by plugging out the old clocks and plugging them in with no mods.

do the plugs from the 6n clocks fit straight into the 6n2 clocks then? or do you need to cut wires?

do you need to mod center console much to fit the 6n box need controls?

  • Author

no you dont need to cut any wires, and yes the contrrols fit in the centre console

sorry to bother you again but i bought some clocks and they did not work! there are 2 slots in the back of clocks (mk5) and only 1 connector from loom (mk4) should they still work ok? and does it matter what dials they are etc?

Why not write up a guide? It'll save you being bombarded with PM's etc, and will help the forum alot :)

x2 a guide would really be helpfull as it seems like a task you have to commit to as wires need cutting ect....
