Think it may be that do u have one ? It was weird I was on the m1 when the car lost power the rev counter dropped then the engine stopped? Tried restarting engine turned over but wouldn't fire up. When the aa guy checked the spark they were ok then it started but happened again 10 minutes later .

classic hall sender failure. mine did this a few years ago. couldnt get hold of a gt/g40 dizzy so just used a mk4 mpi one and its been fine ever since.

the mk4 mpi ones are cheap to get hold of too

classic hall sender failure fo sho.

i have a a g40 one for sale that this happened to that a replaced the sender - £59 from GSF. its a right tricky job!

was looking for £60 posted. its only covered 1k after sender fitting and no play in shaft. and you get free cap and arm! pm me if your interested

there the same ones....best of using the 1.3AEX one

they work the same, but are not the same. the hall sender is in a different place on the dizzy, so you sometimes have to jiggle the wiring to get the plug to reach

my mistake, was told they were the same
