My Girlfriend is 21 has had a licence less than a year. Drives a Fiat Seceinto 1.1 and her insurance is about £380 tpft with Quinn... and that's great...

Phoned up to add me onto her policy.

I'm 23. Held my licence for nearly 6 years. No claims. No convictions... They wanted an extra (on top of the £380) £800!!!!!??

I was outraged!

1) It's a bright yellow Seceinto and I only wanted to be on it for emergencies etc...

2) My own insurance Fully Comp on a Porsche 924 is less than that...

3) If it was the other way round there would be an equal ops uproar...

Yes there are much cheaper quotes with both of us... but her dad bought her the car for her 21st and sorted out insurance etc without me knowing anything.

sorry couldn't resist lol. are you not covered to drive any car as long as its insured and you have the owners permission? that's what my insurance do for me, its nice and handy and didn't cost me any extra, infact i didn't even ask for it lol
