Blatant Sexism

Featured Replies

My Girlfriend is 21 has had a licence less than a year. Drives a Fiat Seceinto 1.1 and her insurance is about £380 tpft with Quinn... and that's great...

Phoned up to add me onto her policy.

I'm 23. Held my licence for nearly 6 years. No claims. No convictions... They wanted an extra (on top of the £380) £800!!!!!??

I was outraged!

1) It's a bright yellow Seceinto and I only wanted to be on it for emergencies etc...

2) My own insurance Fully Comp on a Porsche 924 is less than that...

3) If it was the other way round there would be an equal ops uproar...

4) Quinn can suck my big hairy balls...

wtf how can they get away with this?

I get decent insurance on my own policies but it's trying to add me on to hers with Quinn.

I thought Quinn were alright? The woman on the phone said 'oh it's because you're male and the extra risk'...

Gender Fail

I'm with HIC with my engine conversion all the mods and 2 year no claims 345 WIN!!!

That is sexist try insure the car in you are name and put her on it! I hate a loath and detest insurance firms they are robbing predjudice twats! If I had a kid ever (heaven forbid) and it's a hermafrodite and I have to choose a gender for it this will sway me massively towards it being a female!

Quinn are not alright at all. they wanted £5300 for my car fully comp, when my own insurer HSBC quoted me a renewal of £300.

Quinn are a waste of space tbh.

There's no point in canceling her insurance just so I can go on it.... to probably never even drive it!

Yes there are much cheaper quotes with both of us... but her dad bought her the car for her 21st and sorted out insurance etc without me knowing anything.

I wasn't really looking for advice on cheaper insurance (but thanks!!) I was just having a rant.. thank you for indulging me!

Men always get penalised when it comes to insurance, yet women can't drive? It's not even a consistent assumption...

it's because when we crash, we do it properly.

Like multi-tasking, they say we can't do it. So fuck? Instead of getting twelve things wrong, we get one thing right.

If it's bothering you that much, chop your cock off. Problem solved.

Dam striaght, 80% of women can't drive and when we crash at last we do it good and proper. my sisters insurance quotes annoy me!

*Correction* - All insurance companies are a waste of space lol! I'll not delve any further than that as insurance does my bonce in!

McLovin... you need to be 25 with Brentacre (who I'm with) to drive other cars and I'm not...

oh and that's the wrong small yellow Fiat... ;)

i think its because quinn specialize in ripping provisional /new drivers off. sorry i mean specialize in provisional/new drivers.

no seriously they do specialize in new drivers.

I'm with quinn and i wouldnt say my quote was the best 2200 for a valver all mods in (chip exhaust wheels suspension etc etc) I'm 17 and I've got that cover wer i can drive other peoples cars!

i would rate them for new drivers but not older ones!!!

yo jonnyattwood how the hell is you are quote so f**in low? did you do it online or call them?

Cheers :D

iv got a 1.0 vw polo mk3 1993

got a quote 3rd party

  • 2 weeks later...

Quinn are rubbish,

i got my 1.0l 6n with suspension declared

TPFT with 2 years no clams

still £900

rip off, though my renewal was cheaper than anyone else? definatly changing when the next year comes round

said this b4,

I'm currently on £2,400. 1.0le Polo 6n2. no points added (yet), 0 NCB, 18

i actualy thought this was a good quote, as go compare just spammed 3k 4k 3k 4k.

next year I'm gunna get a GT i think, £1,200 cheaking Go compare. maybe even less if i ring around.

Ouch!

Even if the companies say they specialise in young drivers and modifications, they're usually lying!!

I've never paid over £1k for insurance and never intend to as what you get back if you have an accident is a fecking joke!

The insurance on my G fully comp is £480 ;)

I'm with quinn, I'm 19, held license for 2 years, 1 year no claims, 3 points... £788 for a mk2 golf gti 8v, fully comp....

:ninja: :ninja: :ninja:
