Pedal boxes on lupos!

Featured Replies

Didn't realize they suffered from the same symptoms as polos? or is this just one unlucky lupo? Had one at work today and its a bitch to get the pedal box off, I've been working on it 4 hours so far. Not looking forward to tomorrow!

The sheer bolts arnt to bad, its the bolt through the brake pedal i cant* get out, it seems to hit the fuse box trim.

Yea i had that problem, i think i left the bolt on in the end and removed the pedal box with it on pall.

how did you remove it the box without that bolt? theres no movement, cheer pall

Its been a while since i done it pall but heres a guide i threw together, http://forums.clublupo.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=49659

Imagine your looking at the the pedal box from the drivers position, theres a nut to left on the end of the big long bolt, remove that and the clutch pedal will slide off, next job is to remove the brake pedal from the servo, just pull on the brake pedal and the white clip will snap (you will need a whole new brake pedal disconnect throttle pedal wires/ cable.

Then undo all the 13 mm nuts around the pedal box and yank the fucker out, its tight but can be done i removed the foor rest to get a bit more room as well pall.

Hope this helps

vw can just do it in 3 hours.

Yep, same pedal box, even bora's and golfs suffer from the same problem.

VW did the pedal box on my Lupo for free.

aye, sure its a warranty job?

ino it is on the polo GTi's. Other 6n2's depend on the type of day that the guy at parts you talk to is having.

All lupo's might be free. Worth a ask at volky anyway

It depends on the dealership themselves. I always use mine for parts so I guess they'd rather keep me sweet than make me go else where

yeah, same as mine to be honest, They know i always take my car to them for service, So i always get the best courtsey car :)
