Boot Lock/Unlock 6N2 Problem

Featured Replies

Hope this is the right forum as I wasn't sure.

Right I got some rear door handles for my Mrs 6N2 so that I can delock the front doors, I had planned that if the battery was flat I would use the boot lock to get in the car. I have tested it and I can't get it to unlock if the vehicle is locked?

The book states that if the boot lock is vertical works with the central locking this works fine, if the lock is horizontal the it is permanently locked this works fine, the book then says you can turn it a bit further to say 5 o'clock and it will unlock, mine doesn't do this it just won't go past the horizontal position?

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks

Dicky

Can anyone let me know if they can unlock there boot when the car is locked to allow them to get in on a 6N2?

It should dude it's probably just jammed, wd40 it loads and try it the next day, the lock could be jammed inside

Excellent, cheers for that mate I just wanted to check that it should, in that case I will have the panel off and have a look and see if we can sort it.

Thanks for the reply

All sorted now I think it had never been used!

I stripped it down and greased it all over and it slowly started moving again and then once free there was no stopping it, so now to install a Cat 1 alarm with remote locking and then I can fit the rear door handles and lose those locks.

no worries dude, glad you sorted it!

My boot lock never worked on the boot either. Never bothered me though as I'd never wanna unlock the boot if the car was locked.
