Is this possible to make an application for making clubpolo more convenient to use on iPhone??? Would be pretty cool and much easier to access things.

Just having it reduced down and being able to just slide down the list of forums and topics, it would be easier then loading it on the Safari browser that I find takes a little while when you dont have 3G signal and it drains battery like a bizzzzatch lol. I have no idea how it would work. There must be some computer wiz on here that can explain the ins and outs??? I mean if there is an application for making farting noises, surely someone can make one for CP lol.

well you will still need 3G signal to get any decent speed (regardless of it having its own "app") same goes for battery life, the difference would be minimal.

to be honest to use the forum on your iPhone, the only way you could do it feasibly is to use the lofi version through safari. there would be physically no benefit to making an app, the only thing you could do is save a bookmark directly to the home screen.

Does the lofi version actually let you post or create topics? i can't see any user interface in the software?

I've just started learning SDK coding for iPhone, it might be possible to design an GUI that would link through the lo fi version to make it a bit more iPhone friendly, but as you say, what would the cost be!

how many iphone owners would buy this app (maybe have a poll!)

essentially an iphone resolution designed GUI interface which refers to another website as far as i know (the main facebook database?). i recon its fairly do-able.

i don't think it would be too difficult to design a club polo interface and then some small bit of code to make it refer to our forum database?

it wouldn't surprise me if there was already an add-on for invision power board to do that. All it needs to be is a different skin designed for the iphone screen size.

I use my phone for occasional browsing the forum however posting topics and replyign is a pisstake... Really not worth it in my opinion.

it's fine on Wap, any decent phone will format the page to the phone screen, I'm with 3 and the connection is sound

good idea nik i would download it if there was one. when you go on cp on safari it comes up all squshed and you have to put it in lo-fi to be able to read other peoples posts. I wouldent have a clue how to make a app tho lol :)

My phoen downloads at more then 200kbs on 3G connection so a low version of this or even a normal version should work fine

i have no problems viewing the site or even posting new topics or posts on my N85, if that can do it then surely the iphone can handle it?

Buy a G2, no problems whatsoever and i can read and reply to all the forums

Same here. Don't take that long to load.

tbh i have had a iphone from the day the first one came out and they are pretty shit in comprason to other phones. apple take the piss they have the technology and potential to make the best phone but stager it out to make more money. the first iphone was utter shit compared to the 3g and the 3g is shit compared to the 3gs, they should have just relised the 3gs as the first iphone. its not like 3g technology was not being used in any other phones at the time. not to metion the amout of stuff that goes wrong with them. sorry bout the rant but my iphone has pissed me off today it decide to turn its self of in the middle of a phone call then not work for about 20 mins then it just randmel came back on.

I couldn't have had a more different experience. Had the 3G nw on a 3GS. Best phone I've ever used and the best phone I've ever seen anyone else have.
