smashed up my fiesta so went to brizzol with my uncle ron and bought this..

then i got my self a GTi honeycombe grille...

I thought the interior looked slightly dull, and as the cash flow is very low, i went about looking around the car see what i could do on a budget.

I decided to do a small project painting the vents, and small panel's for a little character.

I thought id go for gloss white and lacquer.

began by removing the CD holder thing, then pulling off the heater control face. (easy)

thoroughly rubbed it down, as i learned on several occasions of this project prep is the most important and i found my self on some occasions rubbing back down and start again.

thought id do the cup and tray faces too.

Then I tried the vents, not a clue how to take them off, but me having a fiddle finally removed them without breaking things, drivers side is held in by a screw(after removing the switch) and the passengers was more tricky, wedge a flat head between and give a good yank.

messed the passengers side(dropped it) so it's still being painted.

next thing i thought was the door handle pannel, and the little thing in the corner (the mirror control), unfortunately it consists of loads of rubbing :(.

next to do is the centre console and the window vent at the top in a T shape..........

Did a little sig thing on my car...

i like it and so does a few people, thought it blends down the white on the screen when I'm bloody driving...

looking at suading the dash in red and the interior roof.

took a trip down to the referbish shop, got them to strip down the paint and deferbish the knocks they have....hopefully ready for friday :) then monday some nice guy's at work is going to powder coat them for freee

other wise I'm well amazed at the finish quality. i really took my time with these too so yeah it finally payed off

the red is alot more deeper and darker but my cam is poope. the red is more like this llllllllllllllll

and also rather than scrounging off my uncle, I thought id buy my self some cleaning products

mum bought a decent karcher jet wash so thought it was time.

so i bought from halfrauds:-

Meguires wash mitt

Meguires gold class car wash, shampoo and condish (the big bottle)

halfrauds squeegee ( not paying £12 for a meguires that does the same job)

Halfrauds drying cloth/towel (was £7 cheaper for the same thing but diff colour)

Halfrauds bucket (had to add that in)

all for £38 not bad.

leather mmmmm. decided to get myself something to do in the days. bought some leather and fabric glue!

firstly i had the challanging task to decide what to leather up. and decided jsut to do the pillars for now, quite stress full, but finally got there also took the head liner thing out too.

so first off i gave the roof thing a good scrub, due to a heavy smoker before hand.

i must say didnt realise it was that dirty......

after elbow grease and vax carpet shampoo:

so preped the pillars, washed them down they were stinking too (before and after pic) then i got stuck into it, 2 hours later, finished! and I'm so pleased thought it would be a nightmare to do, but as its faux leather it's a little stretchy and forgiving. i think I'm going to get busy doing more, dash, centre console(the bottom bit with the gear stick bit). there was either extreme red or black, and i opted for the safe on....black.

so here's the outcome.

the only thing is that the black just looks standard, but its alot nicer to look at rather than the plastic poope.

the pics dont do it justice, but the meet on sunday should.

As my car's fast approaching its MOT with 2 shocks gone, rather than buying standard shocks I'm going to buy coilovers on monday. and hopefully by december meet id have had a crack at the suade headlining, parcel shelf and dash

gonna go with cheap and chearful JOM readlines for £275.....only going to be doing £6k anyway so should last me a while :)

Had my car serviced and timing belt change we also made a nice find... the breather looked like a smokers artery.... so ill get a new one of them this week, and the HT leads replaced.

So thats how far i am not got a decent pic of the car with the wheels on, but ill get someone to get some pics done for me soonish...

Oh and tonight just bought some JOM coilovers

its too low... the rears scrub like crazy but the front are sweet... maybe if i clean the inside it will be decent... just need someone like click trev to do some snaps for me if he likes?

looking forward to having to plan my route into rodney parade rather than just driving straight thru.

i felt like a little child at christmas this morning as its first light.... looked directly at it and man theres like about -10 - 15degrees camber on the front... ill do some better pics later first to clean it....

and yeah its my very own go kart! first time i sat init after it was done i fell into my seat as I'm so use to having it quite high. another thing i noticed was when i got outta the car lastnight on the drive my chest was above the roof... and i could easly reach 3/4 way accross the roof.oh and the rear might have to come up a tad. but the front are great... its gonna get some getting use to....

i simply cant go that low with the valley roads and hills. had my first taste of lowness today too... couldnt go to see my brother at the nursing homes so had to park outside the hospital and walk over. ha.

i know mate it is a nightmare. cant take my car anywhere with speedbumps :(

there is a small grove to place a flat head in to wedge it... its meant to be tight to hold it on, but all you need to do is once you can get your fingers behind it you can pull it off. theres no screws attached

car's been in the MOT station since friday... failed on exhaust, headlight, washer fluid, handbreak too high, ABS light, and think thats it..

when i get it back the interior will have a nice makeover :) pics will follow..

Right I've been doing a bit of planning while the cars been away for the week...

interior design.. so when i get paid it shall start which is next week. the rear seats will be coming out, and a faulse floor will be there instead, that will house the 12" sub in the boot section tho. further on about march if i have the money shall buy a show cage polished up.

the plans now as far as the suading is concerened is that its still going ahead but with different colours.

Mulberry and oyster basically a mulberry red and oyster cream

door cards will be same as this but in the oyster... (yeah everyone will be washing down before getting in)

and i shall put this in somehow next week....

not updated in a while as not much has happened...

had my car broken in last week and basically they took everything.. wasnt a good time to leave stuff in there from a sleep out the night before..

took my DVD player, 32GB ipod, my expensive northface jacket, aerosol and other bits. left the sat nav tho... must have had one already.

so got some pics... of the car in the snow, the mess, the new head unit and the clean up jobbie...

oh and in the next couple weeks there shall be a new look to the interior.

shit dude! absolute scumbags!! makes me so angry when i see and here stuff like this....

on the plus side, the car is still looking top, and the new headunit looks lovely :)

parked it up in cardiff went to work (john lewis) came back at 6 and thought woah the window's clear... then got closer and thought wtf is that hanging on my car.. got closer again and thouhgt SHIT.. my hoddie was hanging out side my door.

BUT the bobbies got some evidence and I've found a few hairs in the car where the head unit sits and are definately not anyones who's been in my car.. black and thick like a black guy's.

on a possi yeah the head unit is really nice, dont have a clock on it tho :( but it does bluetooth, ipod, usb, and other stuff which is cool.

only £129 and it matches the interior more especially with the illuminations.

new wheels end of this month, going to fit them next week for a trial then when a friend buy's mine I'm getting them beauties on... not revealing them yet tho... but there is no red.

oh another thing i didnt mention... i have new trim comming, top centre console and basically all the wite stuff in my car new... should be here tomorrow.... got a new design coming.. began designing it and its in the form of the new radio1 logo on their site.. all the funky rings around the circle in this case would be the big button on the steroeo... I've already scetched stuff up and i cant wait!

new interior dash came today so... lets get to work

after my last update I've referbished the dash parts and fitted the new ones... i sprayed them stealth black.. and I'm amazed how the finish came out.. alot of people who has seen it thinks it was done by a paint shop.

also i sprayed the rear view mirror, grab handles, and the sun visor block (above the mirror) all the same black!

didnt get much pictures but heres a sneaky peak of the dash... the colour is mulberry red.

ill get some decent pics at my next meet, only have a 3gs as a camera see.
