So my question is either mk3 golf TD or audi a4 diesel. I like both but has anyone driven had both. what would be best to go for. budget of £850 maybe bit more.

Audi more luxury maybe, bigger. But is Golf more fun to drive. want eco obviously and comfy, i know these ain sporty cars but which is comfy but not real dull to drive.mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Will be different to drive than my GT but needin a change now and fuel prices and feeling the need for some luxury really like PAS C/L smoother ride.

a4 looks better than a mk3 golf but i doubt you will get a td a4 in your price range?

The mk3 golf is a pretty shit car in general though and hold there value about as well as a gary glitter cd.

You will be looking at least a grand for one of the early A4 TDI's on the N-reg. Much better cars than the mk3 golf though.
