I've had her for bout 2-3 months been sat in my lockup but to bad curcumstances its come back here so i can put my brothers car in there for safe keeping and now this beast is bk i can start work on it with me bein 16 and no job money is very low lol

its a rolling shell quite rotten and needs a lot of love but she will get it.

well i did a bit on her for bout 3 hours and got these bits dun.

took dash out

heater matrix took

windscreen wiper mec took out

gear stick and linkage took out

seat belts took out

carpet took out

ripped all the sound proofing out

just a bit move to do thrn ita all out

and a good poke with ye old screw driver

and to my surprise she is rotten yay

this is the floor passenger is very tidy :) might make it lhd lol

is any 1 has any bits pm need wings more than anything

now thats a project and a half! I would just give up on it, I had a bay camper van project which was a minter compared to that and I gave up and sold it lol and I have a full time job!

miss la crashbot, weld it nay! rape a mk2 or 3 for its floor and make her schaweet! i have faith,

car went for scrap monies but went to a loving home and i got to keep my dash so I'm happy =]

mate don't worry about that rot, as saf says rape the floor out of a mk2 or 3, the same with the top of the inner wing, if it don't fit then mod it slightly till it does, it hasn't got to be pretty as its in places you can't see. just make sure its strong and cut the rot out rather than just welding over it. practice makes perfect mate and you've got plenty of time to get it right

once you get going start a build thread in the mk1 gallery so we can keep up with how you are getting on with it mate.

i put 1 on but for sum reason no went on and dont worry i am gonna rape the shit out or a mk2 or 3 wwen i can get 1 i defo need 1 now with a 1lt init just wen out side to check my oil and my cap has mayo on it so headgasket is gonna go any second lol but o well u gotta love it and i gotta go a timing chain for my vr6 :@ lol

dude i have just the ticket i think, me mk3 daily although my uncle would be a bit gutted if we cut it up, but he would be made up to know it would be saving a 78 polo!

kk no probs and thats how it gos u scrap the car its rotten part from floor lol shitttt!!! dunt matter if its the same its metal at end or the day tbh the whole drivers side floor is gonna be cut out if i can get old of a mk1 drivers side floor them ime rocking :-D thats all i need for now to keep me busy untill i look for more rust lol its quite tidy part from floor inna wings and rear wings and tailgate mostly everything lol

ime a dab hand at body work and okish with a welder if i get gd on the welder ime sorted she be ok ime worried more bout the floor the rest i can handle just gotta find a floor now and ime off and ime loving your mk2 as well mate really nice :-D

I nearly brought it a while ago but funds didnt allow me to, plus i didnt have the skills to finish the work needed to get it back on the road.
