I'm a massive fan, very jealous, can't wait to watch this progress  Nice buy!

My mates old one...

Oh and get on it :-p

Fear not Pleb ;)

That was the only thing holding me back.. Elephant would insure me on the older GT Turbo for like 1200 but they dont even list the Glanza, and loads of the ones for sale are registered as non-turbo base models (illegal) to lower the insurance...

But i got in touch with Sky Insurance and they managed to find some random company that would insure me legit for less than I'm paying on the Polo now, kinda the reason why i keep plugging Sky lol...

Ah cool, I tried them as well but no joy. I was put through to some random company too but it was still 2-3 k for me :( It felt rapid when i test drove one though, really fun car and that was untuned as well so god knows what they are like at ~200 hp! Its a shame they are getting on a bit now, i think I'm just gunna wait untill I can insure a skyline or something similar :)

What are your plans for it?

nice glanza, had one about two years ago! can move all right! there going for very low money in ireland these days!!

Dirrt that looks sweet, and nice subtle plug there ;)

Pleb must just be luck man... they are getting on but this really is immaculate for the age, and in general.. my first car was an L reg Mk3 polo with 49k and that had rusty sills and lower wings, my current Polo is a P reg on 88k with a couple small rust bubbles, this is an N reg on about 52k without a single dot of the rot...

Got quite a few plans but I'm not gonna rush into stuff.. as i said boost gauge and blowoff valve are first on the cards, then probably wheels and some subtle lowering if i have enough change from the Polo...

Hehe yeah true, just make sure its undersealed cos iirc they arent from the factory. I guess its one of those cars that i wanted when i was 18-19 but kinda moving towards something a bit more convenient nowadays. Would love one as a 2nd car/project though.

Yours looks v tidy but deffo agree with new wheels and lowerage :-D

spot on mate, very nice!!!

looking good mate my mate has a one of these as well its around 200bhp realy pulls well and my god can they rev!

I love these! I wanted one when I was 18 but couldn't get insured... so I got my Ibiza Cupra instead!

A mate used to have the EP82 and it was running about 250bhp using an Evo Turbo... it was bloody crazy!

But always loved the look of the Glanza.

Good luck with it mate, hope to see it on some sexy wheels with a decent set of coilies!

You shouldn't be waiting too long mate ;)

Funnily enough, my mate that had a white 6n like mine is getting an EP82 and going straight down the power route, probably TD04/05 for 220bhp+ and my mate JamesU off here is on about getting an Ibiza Cupra next year.. great minds and all that..

slight change from the polo then..... still not sure myself but looks like you've got a good one either way :)

Blitz SuperSound blowoff valve...

213483-blitz-super-sound-blow-off-valve-

Bought and fitted it this week.. waiting for Samco to get back to me about a 90 degree reducer to relocate it a bit, but it's working fine.. proper 'woosh' sound though so i need to order a stiffer spring from Blitz to make it chatter more...

Also got this in blue for a few quid off ebay.. it's to replace the breather tube taht comes off the rocker cover to the original recirc valve.. obviously of no use anymore..

Pics of them fitted later.. maybe even a vid...
