GT'd Mk2 Saloon

Featured Replies

OK, not really wanting to do this, but I've got a Mk1 to fund!

For Sale - Mk2 Polo Saloon, GT conversion done by myself. Thread here - Click

Make: VW Polo

Model: CL Saloon

Year/Reg: 1989

Mileage: 75000 miles

MOT: September 2010

Tax: March (I think!) Will check

Good points:

Brilliant runner, goes like a train. Lowered 80mm at the front with a PhilJ kit, not done the rear yet, but have it all ready to do.

Brown interior, retro cool, no rips or tears, and loads of spare interior furniture.

Relatively new tank, was done by previous owner I believe.

GT conversion completed in October, with brand new 8mm rubber fuel lines installed throughout.

Mild Steel 4-2-1 Manifold, freshly welded.

8k chip, revs well. Gets 50mph in 2nd, 70mph in 3rd.

De-Cat.

Standard rear box, so is pretty quiet at the mo.

Very solid underneath.

13"x7.5" & 13"x8" Banded Steels.

Bad points:

Slightly sticky starter motor, never let me down though.

I think it will need a new ignition barrel.

Front panel has a little surface rust.

Front of passenger door has some surface rust, easy fix I believe.

Drivers side front wing is very slightly lighter in colour than the rest of the car.

Bonnet has a bit of a ripple, I have a spare the buyer can have.

Passenger front wheel is sat slightly back in the arch. I've replaced everything to sort it bar the hub ie. AR|B, ball joint, bottom arm, steering arm. Have a spare hub ready to fit.

Horrible chrome wipers, will supply with Mk3 Aero items ready to fit!

Will listen to sensible offers.

what are they like wth the gt engine in???

Quick.

Loons tend to be better than breadys handling wise, because VW tightened up the back end.

This one goes way off he clock, too.

nice loon needs slammin on back and is well quick i went out in it!
