Golf VR6 and cash your way?

New clutch, flywheel, wheel bearings and full service coming on Monday.

It's 190bhp in a 1100kg car. Not slow - quicker than my good mates Leon Cupra R 225, even with a slipping clutch!

There's a little bit of rust on the back arches but it's been treated and won't get any worse. Just reeds rubbing down and painting, underneath it's solid, you're welcome to check. Interior isn't the best as the cloth seats are a bit worn, typical VW, but there's a nice ICE install in there to make up for it.

A set of wheels would make the car :)

blapblapblap. yo sam, swap for half a 6n 8v? :')

That Green/ Yellow MG MGB classic (not sure of the model) in the background............it doesn't happen to have na M45 strapped on does it? My mate sold his not too long ago and I'm curious to see how it's getting on, looks very similar to that! (only saw it a few times)

No mate my dad built that car from a bare shell, it's got a 3.5 rover v8 in it.

Such a nice car Sam, always nice to see about at meets - shame you're selling it! I would really have it off your hands if I had the cash!

Good luck with the sale,

Jamie

hella sick!

BUMP! £2000 and il be putting 6 months tax on it!!

Still bouncing this around in my head...

Hold off on the tax and save the money for the minute... I'm from Ireland and may save you the few bob...

Would this car be suitable as a daily driver?

How bad is this hesitation?

Genuinely how bad is the hesitation...

What make are the coilovers? They in long? Still adjustable?

Would you sell it without the wheels on steels?

Has this Powersteering? ABS?

Thanks

Cliff

Iv been using it as a daily, it's racey when driving and being inside. The hesition isn't bad if you flick the igintion off/on once you'v been driving around on boost. But when you drive it normally it's never there. The coilovers are the £200 ones from philJ. I lowered them not so long ago and they were okay. I would sell without wheels for £1800. It doesn't have powersteering but it's not hard unless your a proper pussy! My mums driven it! No ABS.

remember this from the mag dude.. very nice car.. was just staring at it for ages.. this is the look i wanted from mine originally.. never got round to finishing it.

ok... cool

Is the exhaust very loud?

How many boxes are in it and what is the system pipe diameter?

What year is the car please?

What is the thread like on the Rh Tyres? any curbing?

Have you any pics from the build? of engine mounts, wireing etc?

Did you ever need an engineers report for insurance or anything?

Exhaust is loud when your fall throttle. Got 2 boxes and is a 2" straight thru. No cat.

The car is a 96 model. The tires were brand new a couple weeks ago so loads of tread. There's alittle curbin on 2 wheels but il sort that coz the dishes need repolishing.

Got loads of pics from the build. And yeah I got my brother to write a letter from his company to my insurance company to say it's now a 1.3. Hope I answered everything.

Simon-polo: cheers mate!

Looks mint mate, best £2000 anyones gonna spend, gonna be droppin mine 60mm on coil overs, get a 16v head and then eventually gonna be gettin rid of rear seats and puttin a nice roll cage in there and settin up a ice install
