'97 3 door 6N2 wet rear footwell

Featured Replies

Earlier in the year while I was to get the Polo repaired after someone had driven in the back of it, it sat for a few weeks. I later found out that the drivers side rear footwell was very wet. I dried it out and it didn't happen again until this morning after it had sat there for 4 1/2 days. Well, I'm not sure when it happened but there was a pool of water there. What could it be? It it was the front footwells, then it could well be the scuttle panel drain holes being blocked, but this is only in the rear.

I looked at the other thread for the later Polo and someone said sunroof drains, I guess it could be the door deal, but when looking at it, there seems to be nothing wrong. The drivers side is the side that is parked up on the kerb, so is higher up, so I guess that might make it more likely for water to come in through the door if there is something wrong with the door seal.

Cheers for any help!
