i think most companys payout about 40p per mile if you use your own car.

Are you taking your passenger to and from work or out during working hours?

its media work i was taking crew and my self to work on location there is normally a van that takes us but one wasn't free so i had to use the car

I get 30p per mile + £40 a week

100miles in a week = £70

200miles in a week = £100...you get the picture

Well I'm a bean counter by trade and its currently calculated at 40p per mile for 1st 10,000 miles, any passengers carried 5p per mile.

the following should clarify:

HM Revenue
