Tinted my lights today

Featured Replies

that looks really nice, definatly going to have a go myself, I'm guessing it was just a bit of luck spraying through the hole at the back of indicator?

ah well, they're not too bad to buy again if i bugger them up

as someone else said.... have you noticed your lights to be dull (anything drastic)

Did you just use the standard Hella lamps?

I'm gona do mine, have been plannin for a few weeks, but was worried about removin the lenses.. i might just spray over the outside.

Joke

looks really good, nice & subtle 8-)

quality, i fancied doing that with my head lights. might do it still.

would it make the beam more direct due to blanking off some of the mirror sections or?

Looks good, I've been thinking about doing it to mine. :)

are they legal??? want to do mine but dad advises me not to???

I can't see why they would be illegal, as the parts being tinted are the ones that are not used to reflect light. As long as the main bowl (that Rolo has masked off) remains reflective they shouldn't greatly affect visibility.

I run a pair of the DJ Auto smoked front headlights (available off the shelf tinted, but the downside is they're only available in left hand drive), and have sat an MOT with them with no problems, and find them no bother at night. I have had to adjust them downwards slightly (due to them being LHD) so I don't blind other road users (too much).
