Sadly i'm going to have to break my Polo GT due to it failing on underside rot and fair few other things. I dont have the time to fix it so its getting sold for parts

Bits worth selling are:

Bigger master cylinder, iirc its a 16v Golf item

G40 brake calipers

Front lower strut brace

GT badges (front and rear)

Black GT interior (Very good condition)

Remote central locking (Black Hawk from Ebay, very good kit)

GT inlet manifold which has been paired (welded) with the flanges from an ABU manifold so it fits the 1.6 AEE/ABU/AEA block. This was done by a local engineering company and i havn't had any problems with it over the 10k + miles i have covered. Id rather sell it with all the GT running gear and the engine as i dont have much space. The engine is paired to a CL 5 speed gearbox which is ok but crunches under full throttle in 2nd and can be a bit whiney.

As far as the engine setup goes i have been doing 50 miles a day and it has been great, on the A roads at 60mph and having to overtake lorries frequently it still does around 95 miles to £10 of fuel. Its a great setup and has kept me happy for quite a while, its certainly a fun drive.

However the engine has some minor leaks, rocker cover and the sump bolt so nothing major but as with most of the 1.6's the valve stem seals weap so if you leave it for a few days it might smoke for a few seconds when started but it never smokes when driving normally.

Body wise it isn't great, i think every panel has either rust or a dent.

I will get some pics up later once i pick it up from the garage and i'll add prices then too. But i'm open to offers on everything.

Sorry guys been abit of a hectic weekend, for the whole car i'm after £350 ono as I could get abit more for it in parts I think. Keep in mind it has the adapted GT inlet manifold which I could get a good price for as there are a few people doing the 1.6 conversion atm.

I forgot to say the front drivers side got reversed into last christmas so the usual suspect items are knackered (less then 5mph impact but the head light plastic shroud is broken although the head light is ok iirc, bent wing, corner of the bonnet. Basicly the shell is pretty rough now.

It failed the MOT on a few things:

Welding needed around petrol tank area - tank out and around 4 - 5 hours patching/welding. It says on the MOT sheet that its close to a seat pelt point although I havn't seen it for myself yet and the brakes need a total overhaul really. The exhaust is awful and it needes a CV joint and boot on the passenger driveshaft.

GT badges front and back - £15 (the back one is a little faded iirc)

Not sure what make the brace is but it fits perfectly so I would imagine its a good make. £25

Not sure I would split the interior this early on as I would rather sell it as a whole - £80 - The fronts are mint

Adapted inlet - £100

£250 for the lot, that includes all the engine mounts,1.6 extended downpipe and a GT exhaust system although it blows quite alot, alternator, Golf gti afm and a Polo GT afm item.

The only thing you will need is a radiator as mine leaks and the water pipes from a mk3 Polo which you can get from a scrap yard for nothing.

GT bumpers, iirc the back one has had a screw put through it but its not noticable at all. Make me an offer. Not after much for them.
