Where i can get a mk4 re-con'ed gearbox?

Featured Replies

I'm from the south coast and i need a re-con'ed gearbox asap, just wonderd the best places to look?

Will be greatfull for any help and contact numbers and names ect.

If you need to know any more info please just ask

I beleive it to be the two cable version of this gearbox rather than the cable and rod.

I just need a company or name/number.

Thanks in advance, Dale

I got mine from a company called cleck heaton gearbox centre, was around £400 and they come back and take the old one away when you've done with it.

Clicky

Give them a ring,

i think I'm just going to have to go for a second hand one to be honest, but i only know its the double cable version because thats what the bloke from cafyns told me, and at the start he sais it was the cable and rod one, then changed his mind. I'm just wondering how i could check WITHOUT getting under the car as its so much hassle trying to get a jack under it but i dont know where or what I'm looking for..

its just with a second hand you never know how many miles they have done and no warrenty...

i need it for the weekend basically so someone can fit it for me.

With a second hand one you run the risk of that one being on it's way out too.

Where as if you get a recon one they will more than likely come with a warranty. Mine came with a year warranty from Cleckheaton.
