my heater knobs are not lighting up does anybody know what this could be, cheers

bulbs either come loose or blown behind dude...

the fascia [panel is clipped on pop it off with a flat head driver but be careful and you will sreee....the dials light up with a bulb behind the center dial

yer mate i have done this i was working the other day and come today it does not, there is also little metal rods on there but was scared to take them off incase i couldnt get them back on or is that simples? cheers

mine go on and off all the time mate just give em a good whack n they will come back on lol =]

Just fiddle with the bulb! Mine goes off all the time....as a matter of fact, it's off right now lol.

id check the fuse before you try this to be honest get to the lamp consists of stripping parts of the dash down !

??? stripping parts down 5 min job with a good old screwdriver lol

wait no scratch that it takes about 30 seconds to do =] thats roughly the same time it would take for u to get the fuse out check it and everything lol

oh and you just take the little piece of plastic that surounds you are heater knobs then unscrew 4 screws and you are there my friend =] simple as

On the mk5 getting to the bulb takes 0.5 seconds.

Just twist to 0 and pull the knob out lol.

there you go you see now u know how to whack a 6n2 bulb out aswell lol and that takes less time than checking a fuse

what did you pull the nob out with "some one said twist to 0 and pull" i tried it and i couldnt manage it, could barely fit enough fingers on there to get grip lol

Try a small screwdriver - like the sort you use to mend glasses, down the side of the knob.

Worked for me.

we still talkin bout the 6n2? if so ill give it a try thanks.
