CD Tuner Compatibility: The XA-110IP is compatible with most UniLink controlling head units introduced in 2006.

The list of compatible units includes

From the 2006 rangeCDX-GT310, CDX-R450, CDX-RA550, CDX-RA650, CDX-GT500, CDX-GT700D.

From the 2007 range, CDX-GT410U/414U, CDX-GT610U/616U, CDX-GT710U.

From the 2008 range, CDX-GT828U, CDX-GT929U, MEX-BT2600, MEX-BT5100.

It is not compatible with the MEX-1GP or any models introduced prior to October 2005.

I don't think it will work with mine then, I've got a cdx gt 710

according to the spec list it does

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_158GT710/Sony...tures_and_specs

if you hold your cursor over the ipod connection/control it brings up the definition of the optional audio as being control and charging and track listings
