Removing 6n steering wheel

hi all, could anybody give me a rough guide into how to take a standard 6n steering wheel out that has an airbag?

and if i fitted a steering wheel that doesnt have an airbag i take i'll need to take the bulb out of the airbag light?

disconnect the battery, Allen key and remove the two bolts at the rear of the wheel, This will allow the airbag to drop out, be sure to hold the front in case it falls out, then undo the big nut.

Naa it was for you clocks mate as with yours take them apart and remove the blub but on mine the newwer 1s its L.E.D's so its harder to do.

take the clocks apart gently and put a bit of black insulation tape over the airbag bit,works a treat :thumbsup:

sorry to thread high jack i got a 16v polo and when i took the steerig wheel off there was a yellow dangley bit connected to the air bag and the wheel what can i do with tht

i take it your fiting 1 with out an airbag as well then well remove the plastic cashing round the steering column and it runs along there then at the bottom you will se were it is cliped in to just un clip it mate
