Well steering wheels arrived! Wheels are back monday afternoon, stealth box gets here tuesday and I have to order a mk3 golf air bag boss so roll on day off on Wednesday!

When all that's done then I'm in desperate need of some body and interior work! So in the mean time I might put a few pics up of my progress!

Comments as usual, oh and if anyones trimmed a parcel shelf and can give me some tips please do!

LOWER!!!

Wheel + wheels look cool though mate! You coming to Elsecar then or what? Get that boss of yours told!

yea i will definately be going lower when i can be arsed taking the wheels back off haha, I'm gonna concentrate on trying to get it rust busted and do my new install (basically a sheet of mdf on the drivers side of the boot where the first aid box goes and a cut out of the original carpet for the amp!)

Would love to get to some shows when bodyworks done tho! Been given a strict no for elsecar tho!

ok so got my amp tuned in to 63hz and it's sick, really good quality for mid range equipment, couldnt be bothered going with the amp on the side fo the boot so i put it on the back of the seat, i think it looks quite tidy tbh!

tiny update/more angle grinder mods lol, was bored about 7 mins ago so i set about making my headrests sit flush, so out came the mahoosive grinder and cutting disk and i lopped a gigantic 1 yes 1 inch of the headrest rods, somet i always wanted to get round to doing and i think the result however small is sick

before with the headrests pushed all the way down

after pushed all the way down

i Like!

I've wanted my headrests to be flush since I got Valver's too..looks so much better bud.

I imagine they function as they should still?

Cheers guys! Yep can be abit tricky to get in at first but if you look at the little metal bars insidethe seat backs and file the headrest rods accordingly they work as normal on the height settings, just one inch shorter if you pull them all the way up lol!

Edited by Pepe

Attempted the flush fitting headreats.

Took 3cm off with a hack saw, rounded off the edges with a file, fitted first on drivers side, done. all the way down.

Do the second one, and i cant get it to go ALL the way down, its exactly the same. So frustrating! lol :p

Ok you try taking any burs off if there is any! Then Try swap em over, or give it a nice sharp whack on top!

Yeah they are relativly smooth, and I've swapped etc, its definatly the headrest, and its had the hardest wack ever many times! lol

hmmmmm try turning the headrest 90 degrees and putting one rod in at a time and work them abit, my passenger side was abit tricky aswell but i did this then bit of grease on the bottom and gave them a whack! should eventually go in if not lop a tiny bit more off as one rod i shorter than the other as standard!

Nice job on the seats! Its the little things that make the difference..... Home Pimping FTW!

good work on the headrests... makes them look like the lemans style racing seats (abit)

^^ haha does it?

Well lowered out back abit more today! Only got one finger arch gap which I think is quite healthy it ain't going lower! might even take drivers side up 10mm or so as it's abit lower, Fronts need deseizing/new coilover rings before I can sort that out! So slight reverse rake mode ATM! Ha other than that I'm hopefully changing jobs soon with a pay rise so I'll b booking it in for bodywork when I get paid then I want a full valeting done to get it looking ship shape! Not ling an it should be finished haha!

Had a very busy day indeed (not as busy as my post man who came 6 times! Haha) most of what I did was my first time doing it so anyway I backed the backs of my rear seats in acoustic carpet (might sound stupid but it makes a difference in the sound quality!) I'm actually really proud of the finish! All tucked in round edges no creases, that trimfix is good stuff!!

b8eb8bd9.jpg

then I recieved my 6n2 roof strips I got off eBay and painted them! To say I haven't got much paint experience at all they came out good! Few runs and finger prints from when I knocked my stands over etc hut they will get redone soon,

dbe450fc.jpg

then I recieved my engine cover and found my "polished" rocker cover and give it a quick buff, then fixed the engine cover brackets and proceeded to whack the mutha suckas on!

after

I also Tweaked my coilies on level ground finally! (halfords car park mods ftw! Haha) And got them sitting just right! Took most of the rust back to bare metal and give it a quick tickle of paint until I can get it sorted properly next payday! Oh and the fabric company I was using for my retrim have said they aim getting my urban camo fabric in for a while (after 4 weeks of waiting) so I'll be gettin a refund and I need to find some more urban camo fabric! Please help! Lol

Good progress i have a set of 6n2 roofrails on mine just to let you know you have to trim the front rubber down a lilttle to fit down on the car if thats makes sense. Good Work!
