did it come off like that though?

nope, and by the time i had finished i could get a steering wheel back on properly to move the car about

I got pulled loads of times with my chain wheel and most cops love it. Think it's mad as he'll, lol.

I'm'a run it :D:thumbsup:

Ran this for approx 8 months after being bored one day in work and had an air saw handy. Both on my Polo (about 6 months) and Golf for about 2-3 months.

Police use to pull me all the time after i finished work, 3-4am and comment on it, but never gave me a producer or anything about it.

I said that if i had an accident at least my head isnt going to hit the steering wheel :p (or the windscreen if you wear your seatbelt :D)

The only problem I find with metal steering wheels and gear knobs is how bloody cold they are in winter.

Great picture man! What were you smoking?

no smoke, no drink just being me. I found it highly amusing that they added "Tree climbing is prohibited" to the bottom of this years Edition38 flyer!!

Well ill be at Edition this year once again, I'm trying to get myself to UD too.

The same year i climbed the tree i ran around the site, setting my hair on fire for beers.

:D

Anyway, less of the off topic.

Chainlink wheel, really cool, retro and hopefully you can find a boss for it.

If you need a hand trying to find a boss, pop the detials up and ill try to find one for you.

Steve

I have driving gloves in winter if I'm using the chain. It's bad in summer to cause your hands get sweaty which isn't good on a metal wheel, lol

ill get a nice leather one for summer :p

what boss have you used for it?

and what's it like to drive with in your square? (if its in there)

i ordered a Grant boss for 71 Beetle, small spline hopefully, gotta pull that sleeve off thats on my square?
