Where?

I would say Aberdeen. The new Union Square has just recently Opened up. Theres a very large car park, sheltered multi story inside or a large outside one. all depends on if you's want to be sheltered or not depending on the weather. Its well light and theres about 12 restaurants or places on the inside for getting a bite to eat if wanted.(also has an Apple store for any of you Apple Mac geeks :p)

It is also well sign posted for those who dont have a sat nav or dont know Aberdeen too well. :)

When?

I would say the end of January or the end of February to give people time to recover from this time of year etc. I would prefer it on a Saturday nyt, or a Tuesday nyt. Tuesday nyt would be good as depending on time this is going to be at 8.30pm Eastsidevw have there local meet there every tuesday nyt at a ghetto car park. quite a few who attend have there dubs featured etc. and could maybe take a trip over.

Your thoughts?

I think it would go well and would be a nice Scottish Meet venue :)

Kuszpit :)

that sounds pretty good but the only problem is the drive home from aberdeen at night.

but i'm still up for it :-D

Night time is the best time for the A90 anyway haha!

Kuszpit, the meets are always going to be on a Sunday, it's just something we've all agreed on.

I'm not sure when the last Aberdeen meet was, maybe it's about time for another one. I'm really not bothered where it is as long as it's somewhere in Scotland as either me or Steven will drive anywhere.

Sunday 17th January?

Yeh a Sunday nytish will be good for me. The 17th also sounds ok. just depends if everyone is can make it for that date. :)

Your only 2 and a bit hours from Aberdeen to Inverness at night, its what me and Toby usually travel to a Dundee or Perth meet anyway without a thought.

I'm good for the 17th, and Aberdeen sounds good, has been a while since the last one...might be able to take a Polo to the meet then too haha. But as always I'll actually drive anywhere for a meet.

ryt ok myt come jst a shame its on a sun

and depending on if i still have a polo its going up 4 sale haha

wee all ways have them on sundays coss a lot of us work sat.

A sunday nyt does sound better now. it means town is a lot less busy and the A90 is pretty Dead. Anyone got a time in mind?

What about 6pm.Its still gona be dark. The carpark is cheaper to get into at that time and it also helps those with a long journey afterwards so they ain't returning home at stupid hours in the morning and if anyone has work the next day it makes it easier. :)

Any other suggestions on time etc?

Kuszpit :)

Yeah we usually meet at about 6.

Say meet at the Asda near the beach first? Everyone should know where that is, and decide from there where to go for food and stuff?

Yeh sounds good. If people know where it is. Should we meet in the car park across from ASDA. i.e in the same large car park but at the left hand side of the retail park. Less cars on that side so easier to spot for those coming in.:)

Kuszpit :)

everything sounds good, i just need to find the way now

Seems to me that theres only like 4 of you discussing this! hence probaly only 4 of you will turn up lol, could be wrong.

I'm from Glasgow and would of liked it to be there for obvious reasons 8-) Theres a million places in Glesga that are PERFECT for a meet as iv been to loads but hey, thats just my oppinion!

either way id like to join you lot so let me know an exact agreed location, I'm assuming cause u lot know each other you will be organising it so it would be rude of me to intervine and who would listen anyway haha!

as i said let me know whrever and whenevr n ill be there for sure! ;)

John.

Not at all mate. If theres something your not keen on speak up. Thats the whole point in organising something. :) I haven't met any of the lads, i have just spoke to them through CP.

Just speak up mate and have your opinion added. :)

New faces are always welcome at meets, the more the merrier (check the christmas lingo there!)

Our meet are usually around Dundee or Perth and myself and Toby pretty much make a whole day of it going down and stuff as we are the furthest north members who travel to such things.

I'm sure later in the year we could have a Glasgow meet, I know thats close to Scott (Buster.g40).

As for this meet though, are we all agreed on the following location to meet at 6?

Type this into google maps - 57.149267,-2.080831

Heres a rough idea of how to get from the Car Park at asda to Union Square. Depending on what we do.

i wood like it to be on my door step as well.

thats why wee ceap changing the meat point throw the year.

wood be nice to see new people at meats but in the past no one can be bothered coming along in less its right out side there house..

there are some of us that will travel eny where for a meat but think its only fair if people come to some meats in other places befor wee go to there door step.

wee cood all ways have a vote on where to have it

Hmm a vote could be good. But, it's pointless me voting, because I don't give a shit where it is, being honest

I'll be in a Saxo anyway...

We haven't had a Falkirk meet or anything like that for a while, is there likely to be any shows on in January at the wheel or is it a bit cold?

bit cold at that time of year.

I'll be there! Just not sure what car i'll be in as my new gearbox is worse than my original one 7 I've just spent £400 on a refurbed one.

I'll be there too...

Scott if you want to turn up a little bit earlier we could pop into Wallace Performance and have a chat about sorting out a rolling road day further into the year...

Think it works out at around £35 per car for two runs if there is 10 cars or more. I will be in there soon when our local club has there RR day(date still being confirmed ).
