Warm air feed vacuum source

Featured Replies

I took the warm air feed off my mk3 gt during warmer weather when it was fine but I want to put it back on for winter as it's struggling a little in the cold but I can't remember where its vacuum was connected to! I assume it's not just a permanent vacuum as that'd make it draw warm air all the time.. is it meant to go to one of the 2 bits on the inlet elbow? could someone with a standard GT have a check for me please?

Thanks!

no-one?

Yes. If you mean the two thin pipes with a bit of bent metal around them. It's an air temperature valve common to many VWs. Normally the pipe end nearest the air cleaner flap unit connects to that unit flap.n Other goes to a source of vacuum such as carb brass pipe or near throttle body.
