Hi, does anyone know if the front seats out of a mk2 golf fit a 93 mk3 polo coupe?

yes, but they sit abit too high

and wide, unless they're gti seats then they're nice low n thin

how much higher than the polo seats do you reckon they will be, is there any way of making them sit lower?

Yeah i think its a gti, can't belive its in the scrappy cos its the rare greeny grey colour but the seats are SWEET! :)

Not sure if those mk2 seats will fit very well. Corrado or Scirocco seats would be much better, will sit lower than standard Mk3 seats also.

they fit straight in mate, this isn't the best pics of ours but hay ho...

gti seats have adjustment that drops it down a bit at the back which makes them sit a little lower iirc. as said above corrado seats are the ones to get though, i got a set in the jetta, they make me look like a midget and i sit so low i can't even see my fuel gauge without sitting up, but love them to bits

They do fit, but as said sit higher, even the GTI ones, that i have. They're no thinner either than any other seats, in fact they had similar seats (if not the same bar frames) in the coupe S. The driver side of my GTI ones is adjustable, but passenger one isnt. Beware when putting it forward, put mine through th wind screen! Doh!

are the mark 2 golf seats taller than the standard mk3 polo ones? cuzim 6,3 and the standard polo ones just seem small on the back?

I'm 6'3 and never had any problems with my polo ones....

It seems you loose ~ 1inch of headroom with one fitted Vs a polo without a sunroof IME.

I had a sunroof, was fine still

if it sit up properly and put the seat up i can stick me head out the sunroof almost lol

Corrado seats would probably be best, they are generally more supportive and must be the most comfortable seat ever invented.

Some are yeah but most are cloth
