Over on VZI (I've also got a 1971 Beetle) they do a feedback section for forum users who sell stuff.

So if your a good seller you get positive feedback which can reassure other potention buyers.

If your a shit seller people can avoid.

I thought it might be a good idea over here.

E.g.

I got a 2nd hand panel from Low Bay.

And I was well chuffed, positive feedback for him!

but its been discussed before and none of the mods/admins bothered with it :)

( maybe having Buyer/seller Infomation on "View Member Profile" section would be a good idea! )

That sounds like a sterling idea! Would probably take a bit of work though...

could maybe do like a thanks thread and post if people are good sellers so people can use the search function and see if the person they're buying from has had many thanks. And yeah setting up a system like the one mentioned above isnt easy, am guessing will possibly end up having to pay more or possible switch to another board

Not really hard to add a REP System for IPB, done it many times my self, if the guys would want to put time and effort into inplimenting a system/script would be great to do theres loads on IBP Forums.

The option to do a feedback system is available to everyone already.

1. you see a for sale advert, you reply you sort the sale, you pay for it, you get it, all is good.

2. you then view the for sale thread and post that all was fine and item is now sold, click the report button.

3. We then close it, sale done.

Any future buyers that see a seller, can check previous threads by that user (this should be done when buying any item), and see that someone has said sale went all ok etc

and the same would work for sellers that arent good, a simple "item was delayed a few week, emails were slow"

It then puts it in the hands of you as a buyer to share your feedback out of choice then

as long as you dont lock them too soon

Or simply check the sellers/ buyers , comments left by other.

I have braught quite a list of things through here,

But recently on here spent £60 on Angel eyes and still 3 months later.
