i have been trying to find a D.I.Y guide but i cant seem to find one on here or on uk-polo's ...

if anyone could help me this would be great.

i read somewhere on here that you can wire a kit like this to the pump in the boot ?

but then how do i get the indicators to flash and everything lol

(electricals isnt my strong point)

you need a haynes manual or similar. take the steering column cowling off and you should be able to get to the wires needed. the indicators will need to be connected on the o/p side of the indicator relay, so just see what colour wires go to the lh and rh indicator and connect to those wires, simples.

i already have central locking lol

just need to fit the remote bit ... but wanted a guide for this .... i think i have it cracked tho lol

no a haynes wont. but it will tell which wires are which on the std loom that you will need to splice into.

i know this is a silly question but how do i connect the wires to that are already there .... are there special connectors i can use ??

strip a section of the existing wire, wrap the new one around it, solder them together and wrap in insulation tape, simples

or the less pikey way, chop the wire and strip both ends, add your new wire to one end of one of the stipped wires, twist together, the bend the exposed copper over into a hook shape. do the same with the other end.

fit some heatshrink over one of the wires, then link the two hooks together, solder, then heat up the heatshrink to seal the join.

simple lol except at my garage i do not have a power supply lol wuld be so much easier if i had a battery powered soldering iron lol.

i could do it outside my house i suppose lol.

buy a gas soldering iron, B&Q sell them for a tenner. easier to use in the confines of a car footwell too

anyways these are the colour wires i got lol

from what i can make out

pink, red and black wires at the far left = do nothing yet

white (at the far left) = ignition 12v

brown = indicators

red = main power supply

black = earth

and i dnt know what the rest are lol

any help will be appreciated :)

do you actually know what you are doing?! cos from what you've said so far, I wouldnt get you to change a light bulb!

you already have the wiring diagram telling you what everything does on that plug (you posted a pic of it in your first post!)

being that your car has already got central locking lol, you wont even be needing to connect the yellow/white/orange wires, as you will probably need to use the elecro/pneumatic o/p next to where the led plugs in

i completely forgot bout tht.

perhaps you should see if anyone local to you can help, cos it sounds like you will struggle otherwise. there must be a local vw club with someone on that will be able to sort you out

i got a right click plug and play kit, easiest thing iv done in my life.

unplug plug intoi vac pump. plug lead in, plus orig lead into new socket. white plug into box. set to 3.5sec time for vac central locking. wire into indictors (theres even pins to connect to for use of towbar electrics etc) prgram keys. all the 5 mins later and done

my cousin is a mechanic ... and shit hot with electrics ... maybe ill get him to help
